It makes you wonder the story behind how it got here, why is it totally demolished? But somewhere in this you can still find beauty in the elements. Don't you agree? Enjoy!

Valle de la Luna | Atacama Desert, Chile Back from a long trip in Chile and boy was it a good one. So many pics to work on and showcase! This one is from Valle de la Luna in the Atacama Desert. The landscape in the Atacama Desert is other wordly. So many various terrains and textures. You'll see as more pics come! I like this in particular because it has a great mix of the silky smoothness of the sand dunes along with the grains and waves. Hope you like!
River Oasis
Atacama Desert | San Pedro, Chile After waking up early for some sunrise photos, we drove around the mountain highway looking for interesting vantage points. When we pulled off to one stop, we could've sworn we heard running water but all we could see was desert. We hiked down a ways and low and behold we found this stretch of green hiding in the velley! Turns out there was indeed a river running through the mountain.

Refugio Paine Grande | Torres del Paine, Chile Sunsets in Torres del Paine were incredible. The sky is always filled with all sorts of clouds and they get painted with brilliant pinks and purples. That backdrop against the towering mountain range is such a great spectacle. I thought the the exposed branches out of this bush was very interesting.

Refugio Paine Grande | Torres del Paine, Chile The variety of clouds in Torres del Paine is expansive. I happened to capture this one during a sunset. The way it absorbed the sunlight and it's massive stature, I was expecting an alien spaceship to come out!

Valle de la Luna | Atacama Desert, Chile The Great Dune in Valle de la Luna is quite impressive. Calling it great is an understatement. The massive collection of untouched sand admist Mars-like rock surface is smooth and sharp like a sword's edge. It's mesmerizing staring into blanket of sand! Enjoy!

Mirador Base Las Torres | Torres del Paine, Chile This is certainly one of those places where a photo just doesn't do it justice. Unfortunately, it was very cloudy and very windy the day we made it up so the water wasn't very reflective. Of course I'm nitpicking and even still it's such a beauty. Checked the W Trek off the bucket list, but I actually wouldn't mind going back one day to do the full O Trek and capture this at sunrise. Of course as a photographer, you wonder should I have taken more shots this way or that way? I'm honestly thrilled to have gotten to added it to my journey.

Lago Nordenskjold | Torres del Paine, Chile The park is filled with lush trees as well as some great exposed ones like this guy. It was a perfect foreground subject while watching the winds dance across the beautiful lake waters.

Nordenskjöld Lake | Torres del Paine, Chile Torres del Paine Park is filled with many fascinating flowers. One you'll undoubtedly encounter is the Chilean Firebush. The bright red flower grows in bunches throughout and makes for a great contrast to the beautiful blues of the skies and lakes.

Lago Grey | Torres del Paine, Chile I knew about the 2011-2012 fire before going, but seeing the destruction first hand makes you appreciate the extent of it. There were stretches of white, barren trees throughout the park. During one of my hikes, I came across this fascinating cluster. Here you not only had a tree growing up rocks but intertwined with a tree from the fire. To me, it depicts nature's fight and the struggle between life and death.
